Ingredients

 
Green gram- 3/4 cup
 
finely chopped Green Chillies - 4
 
freshly grated coconut - 3 tbsp
 
finely chopped Coriander leaves - As reqd
 
Salt - As reqd
 
Lemon juice - 2 tsp
 
For seasoning:
 
Oil - 4 tbsp
 
Mustard seeds - 1 & 1/2 tsp
 
Curry leaves - A few(optional)
 
Asafoetida- A pinch

Directions

Soak green gram dal in water for 45 min to one hour and drain water.
Add grated coconut, finely cut chillies and coriander leaves.
Sprinkle salt and lemon juice.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add the seasoning ingredients.
Pour it over the prepared dal and mix it.
