Beets In Butter Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |

| Monosodium glutamate | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 10 to 12 medium-size beets, peeled and thinly sliced | ||
| 2 large lettuce leaves, dripping with water | ||
| 1 tablespoon chopped chives or parsley | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Put butter into frying pan; add sugar, mono-sodium glutamate, and beets.
Spread out the lettuce leaves over beets.
Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
Remove the lettuce leaves; add salt and pepper, sprinkle on the chives or parsley, and mix well.
