Beef Tournedo Recipe
Ingredients
Beef Tenderloin – 1 (1 pound)
Fresh Mushrooms – 10
Butter – ½ cup
Slab Bacon – ½ cup, cubed
Worcestershire Sauce – 2 tablespoon
Beef Bouillon Cubes – 2
Flour – 2 tablespoon
Burgundy - 1/3 cup
Directions
MAKING
1) Using a sharp knife, cut the beef into bite sized cubes
2) In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the mushrooms for about 5 minutes
3) Using a slotted spoon, remove the mushroom and pour the butter to reserve
4) In the skillet, brown the bacon till crisp and keep aside
5) Wipe the skillet lightly using an absorbent kitchen towel
6) Add the reserved butter and sauté the beef till almost done
7) Tip in the Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms and bacon
8) In a bowl, combine the 1 cup of boiling water and beef cubes till they are dissolved
9) Pour this over the beef mixture
10) Add in the flour to blend and then add in the burgundy and stir into the beef mixture
11) Cook for about 4 minutes
SERVING
12) Serve with rice or noodles
