Beef With Snow Pea Pods And Cashews Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound beef (top of the round steak), sliced into Winch strips
2 tablespoons black bean sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, grated
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 to 16 snow pea pods, strings removed
1 tablespoon cornstarch in 1/2 cup cold broth or water
1/2 cup cashews
1 cup bean sprouts, optional
Directions
Marinate the beef in a combined mixture of bean sauce, soy sauce, and grated garlic in a small bowl for 20 to 30 minutes.
Heat oil ,in the wok and stirfry the snow pea pods 1 to 2 minutes, until their green color brightens.
Push aside.
Stirfry the beef 2 to 3 minutes.
Return the snow pea pods to the beef in the wok and stir in the cornstarch and broth mixture.
Heat until sauce boils and is clear.
Add cashews and serve at once.
(Bean sprouts may be added just before the cornstarch mixture is added, if desired.)
