Beef With Oyster Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Dry sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Beef chuck | 1 pound | |
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 green pepper, cut into 1/4 inch strips | ||
| Water chestnuts | 8 , canned | |
| 21/2 tablespoons bottled oyster sauce | ||
Directions
Combine the soy sauce, dry sherry, cornstarch, and sugar in a small bowl.
Add beef and marinate 20 to 30 minutes.
Heat oil in the wok and stirfry the green pepper strips and water chestnuts 1 to 2 minutes.
Push aside and stirfry the beef 2 to 3 minutes.
Return the green pepper and water chestnuts to the beef in the wok.
Gently stir in the oyster sauce.
Heat through and serve at once garnished with nuts, if desired.
