Beef Tongue Supreme` Recipe
Ingredients
| 11ge. beef tongue | ||
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Onion | 1 Small, finely chopped | |
| Tomato juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot Sauce | 2 Drop | |
Directions
Place tongue in saucepan; cover with water.
Add salt and garlic.
Boil, covered, for 2 hours or until tongue is tender; add additional water if needed.
Remove from pan; reserve 1/2 cup liquid.
Peel tongue; cut into 1-inch slices.
Return tongue to pan; add reserved liquid and remaining ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
Add salt and garlic.
Boil, covered, for 2 hours or until tongue is tender; add additional water if needed.
Remove from pan; reserve 1/2 cup liquid.
Peel tongue; cut into 1-inch slices.
Return tongue to pan; add reserved liquid and remaining ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
