Beef Tacos Recipe
Ingredients
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup each tomato sauce and chopped tomato
Dash each oregano leaves and hot sauce
4 ounces cooked ground beef, crumbled
2 taco shells
2 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
Directions
In 9-inch skillet heat oil; add onion, green pepper, garlic, and chili powder and saute until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, tomato, and seasonings and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes to blend flavors; add beef and cook until heated.
On baking sheet bake taco shells at 350°F until heated, about 2 minutes.
Fill each shell with half of beef mixture; top each with 1 ounce cheese and 1/4 cup lettuce and serve hot.
