Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Beef stroganoff is a gravy cooked lean beef recipe made with mushrooms. Prepared with soup mix and yogurt for a creamy sauce like gravy, the beef stroganoff is absolutely filling and can be served with wheat noodles.
Ingredients
| 1/2 lb. lean hamburger or 1/2 lb. lean beef, cubed, rump, or round | ||
| Mushrooms | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Onion soup mix package | 1 | |
| Whole wheat flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cup whole wheat noodles/cooked | ||
| 8 tsp. low-fat yogurt | ||
Directions
1. Brown hamburger and drain OR saute beef cubes. Add mushrooms.
2. Whisk dry onion soup and flour into water. Heat. Stir until thickened.
3. Combine thickened onion soup and cooked lean beef.
