Chinese Style Beef In Oyster Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound top round
2 tablespoons oil
1 minced garlic clove
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Chinese oyster sauce
1 tablespoon gin
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 cups hot beef broth or water
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup sliced water chestnuts
4 chopped scallions
Directions
Cut the beef in 1-inch cubes.
Heat the oil in a deep skillet; brown the beef and garlic in it.
Add the salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, gin, sugar, and broth or water.
Mix well; cover and cook over low heat 25 minutes.
Add the mushrooms, water chestnuts, and scallions.
Cook over medium heat 3 minutes.
