Beef Consommé Recipe
Ingredients
| Cabbage - 1 head, shredded | ||
| Celery - 1 stalk, chopped | ||
| Onions - 3 to 4 Iarge, chopped | ||
| Carrots | 1 Bunch (100gm), chopped (Soup bones and suet - 3 pounds) | |
| Okra | 1 pound, sliced (Soup bones and suet - 3 pounds) | |
| Green beans | 1 pound, sliced (Soup bones and suet - 3 pounds) | |
| Turnips | 1 pound, chopped (Soup bones and suet - 3 pounds) | |
| Tomatoes - 3 to 4 pounds, chopped | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a large kettle and combine all ingredients in it.
2) Cover with water and simmer for about 6-8 hours.
3) Strain the broth and allow it to cool.
4) Skim off fat and refrigerate until ready to serve.
SERVING
5) Serve Beef Consommé cold.
