Beef Consommé Recipe
Ingredients
Soup bones and suet - 3 pounds
Cabbage - 1 head, shredded
Celery - 1 stalk, chopped
Onions - 3 to 4 Iarge, chopped
Carrots - 1 bunch, chopped
Okra - 1 pound, sliced
Green beans - 1 pound, sliced
Turnips - 1 pound, chopped
Tomatoes - 3 to 4 pounds, chopped
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a large kettle and combine all ingredients in it.
2) Cover with water and simmer for about 6-8 hours.
3) Strain the broth and allow it to cool.
4) Skim off fat and refrigerate until ready to serve.
SERVING
5) Serve Beef Consommé cold.
