Beef Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| 11/2 pounds ground beef or ground pork | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 28-ounce can tomatoes, cut up | ||
| 2 10 3/4-ounce cans condensed cream of celery soup | ||
| 1 17-ounce can cream-style corn | ||
| Ground thyme | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In large saucepan or Dutch oven cook ground beef or pork, celery, onion, and green pepper till meat is browned; drain off fat.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, soup, corn, and thyme.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Cover; simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Crockery cooker directions:
In skillet cook ground meat, celery, onion, and green pepper till meat is browned; drain off fat.
Transfer meat mixture to electric slow crockery cooker.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, soup, corn, and thyme.
Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 hours.
