Beef Casserole Recipe

Beef Casserole 750g steak (your choice) 2 tbspn plain flour 1 large carrot (chopped) 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen) 2 medium potatoes (chopped into 2cm squares) 1 onion (chopped) 2 beef stock cubes 1 tspn mixed herbs salt and ground black pepper 1 cup water 3 tbspn sherry 1 tablespoon soy sauce Toss cubed steak in flour (coat well). Brown lightly in a frying pan, remove from pan, and place in a casserole dish, add potatoes, carrots and onion. Mix water, stock cubes, soy sauce, extra flour and sherry together. Pour over meat and veges, add mixed herbs, salt and pepper and stir in well. Cover and place in oven at 180c (350f) and cook for 1 hour, stir in peas and cook a further 10 mins. Serve with boiled noodles or rice. Serves 4.
