Beef Burgundy Recipe
Beef Burgundy is a sumptuous and addictive beef dish. I served this for friends farewell part last week and I cant even begin to count the number of compliments I got! Follow this wonderful Beef Burgundy recipe to cook a wining dish for your guests.
Ingredients
2 to 3 med. onions, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
2 lb. lean beef, cut in 1 1/2 x 1/2 in strips
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
Marjoram
Thyme
Salt
Pepper
1/2 c. beef bouillon
1 c. Burgundy wine
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
Directions
Saute onions in butter in heavy skillet until soft but not brown.
Remove to separate dish.
Saute meat in same butter; brown.
Sprinkle with flour, marjoram, thyme, salt and pepper.
Add beef bouillon and Burgundy.
Stir well.
Cover and simmer 3 hours.
The liquid seldom cooks away, but if it seems dry, add more bouillon and wine.
Add onions and mushrooms.
Stir well.
Cook 1 hour longer.
