Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| 1/4 pound bacon, crisp-cooked | ||
| 2 large Spanish onions, chopped | ||
| Green bell peppers | 2 Large, chopped | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Kidney beans | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| 2 cups cooked egg noodles, rice or spaghetti | ||
| Tomatoes | 3 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.
Add the bacon, onions and green peppers; cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the mushrooms, kidney beans, noodles and tomatoes and mix well.
Season and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, adding water if necessary.
Note: If desired, the cooked ingredients may be placed in a casserole, topped with shredded cheese, bread crumbs and bacon slices, and browned in the oven.
