| Ground beef | 6 Ounce | |
| 1 medium-size yellow onion, peeled and chopped | ||
| Chopped tomatoes | 2 Small, peeled | |
| Stalk celery | 1 , finely chopped | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dried basil | 1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Dried oregano | 1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| 1/3 cup uncooked egg noodles, elbow macaroni, or ziti | ||
Directions
Heat the butter in a heavy 8-inch skillet over moderate heat until bubbly.
Add the beef and onion, and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until the beef has browned and the onion is soft.
Add the tomatoes, celery, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and noodles.
Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
