Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound lean, boned top sirloin steak
Cooking spray
1 (8-ounce) package presliced fresh mushrooms
1 small onion, cut in half lengthwise and sliced crosswise
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup dry red wine
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon beef-flavored bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
6 cups hot cooked medium egg noodles, cooked without salt or fat
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Directions
1. Trim fat from steak; cut steak diagonally across grain into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
2. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add steak, mushrooms, onion, and garlic; saute until steak is browned. Drain; return to-skillet.
3. Place flour in a small bowl. Gradually add water, stirring with a whisk until blended. Stir in wine and next 4 ingredients. Add flour mixture to steak mixture; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook an additional 5 minutes or until slightly thick, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream. Spoon 1 cup noodles onto each of 6 plates; top each serving evenly with steak mixture. Sprinkle with green onions.
