Beef Sirloin Stroganoff Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. beef sirloin steak, cut into cubes | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, separated into rings | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |
| Beef broth | 1 Can (10oz), condensed | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Snipped chives | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 cup dry red wine or water | ||
| Sour cream | 1 Carton (1l) | |
| Hot buttered noodles | ||
Directions
1. Place meat, onion and garlic in 10-inch glass ceramic skillet. Cover with glass lid or wax paper.
2. Microwave for 8 to 10 minutes on HIGH. Stir in broth, mushrooms and chives. Combine cornstarch and wine in small bowl until smooth; stir into broth. Recover.
3. Microwave for 18 to 22 minutes on med.high (Roast), or until meat is fork tender. Mix in sour cream; recover, and continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes on med.high (Roast), or until heated through. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
