Beef Stroganoff Using Consomme Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef tenderloin | 2 1/2 Pound | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Fat | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 3 onions, sliced thin | ||
| Tomato juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 can consomme | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sour cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mushrooms | 1/2 pound, sliced | |
| 3 tablespoons Burgundy wine (optional) | ||
Directions
Cut meat in thin strips.
Toss in flour, salt and pepper.
Brown meat and onions in 3 tablespoons hot fat.
Add tomato juice, consomme and sugar.
Reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender.
Blend in sour cream, mushrooms and wine.
Heat but do not boil.
Serve over buttered noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.
