Ingredients
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Round steak | 1/2 Pound | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1/4 t. garlic puree | ||
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Bouillon | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Frozen peas package | 1 | |
| 1 jar pimientos | ||
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Cut meat in thin strips about 1 inch long.
Brown meat and onions in oil.
Add salt, pepper, garlic puree and bouillon.
Cover and cook over a low flame until meat is tender (about 2 hours).
Add frozen peas and pimientos and heat 5 minutes.
Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and water and add to meat, cook until thickened.
Serve over steaming rice.
This is an excellent company dish and can easily be doubled or tripled or more.
It also can be made early in the day then reheated just before serving.
If you do this do not add the peas until reheating time as they will shrivel and get soggy.
Serves 4.
