Ingredients
2 pounds boneless beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 cups water, divided
1 envelope (1 3/4 oz.) onion soup mix
4 medium carrots, thinly sliced
2 potatoes (about 8 oz. ea.) peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 bay leaf
1 can (8 oz.) green peas, drained
1/4 cup flour
Directions
In 4-quart casserole, combine beef, 1 1/2 cups water, soup mix, carrots, potatoes and bay leaf.
Cover with lid.
Cook at HIGH 8 minutes and at MEDIUM-LOW 55 to 60 minutes, or until beef is tender; stir occasionally.
Add peas.
Blend flour with remaining 1/2 cup water.
Cook at HIGH 5 to 7 minutes, or until stew is thickened; stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
