Beef Sate With Peanut Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Peanut oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Large, minced | |
| Root ginger | 1 2 Inch, peeled | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Creamy peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sesame oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Grated zest of 1 lemon | ||
| 2 pounds sirloin, flank, or sirloin tip steak, cut into 1-by-1/2-inch strips | ||
| Peanut sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Scallions | 1 Bunch (100gm), cut into strips | |
Directions
In a large skillet, heat the peanut oil.
Add onion, ginger, and garlic and saute over medium heat until softened.
Stir in 1/2 cup water, peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, cayenne, and brown sugar and simmer, stirring, for 3 minutes.
Stir in lemon zest and let cool to room temperature.
Transfer to a shallow baking dish.
Add sirloin strips and turn in the marinade to coat well.
Cover and let marinate, refrigerated, for 24 hours.
Arrange sirloin strips on a broiler pan or baking sheet and cook under a hot broiler for 4 minutes, turning once.
Pierce each strip with a toothpick, dab with peanut sauce and garnish with scallions.
Serve warm.
