Directions

MAKING
1) Using a good sharp knife, separate the bone from the meat to create a flap
2) Fasten the meat with string
3) Make slits into the meat and insert the cloves of garlic into each slit
4) Rub the meat with the seasoning mix all over the roast
5) In a pan, fry the bacon over the grill
6) Add a tablespoon of onion to the pan
7) Dab in two tablespoons of butter
8) Then add in the flour and cook the flour
9) Pour in the wine
10) Season the sauce with salt, garlic powder and ground black pepper
11) Allow the roux to thicken up
12) Meanwhile dice up the stalks of celery, and cooked beef roast
13) Add the diced celery to the roux
14) Dice up the rest of the onion and add it to the roux
15) Add the diced beef, precooked potatoes and carrots and mix well
16) Roll out the readymade dough, place onto the base of a 10inch pyrex pie dish
17) Fill with the beef roux
18) Roll out the other half and cover the top of the pie dish
19) Flute the edges , make a slit on the top
20) Grill the pie on indirect heat over the grill for about 40 minutes
21) Rub the top of the pie with some butter to help brown up

SERVING
22) Serve the pie warm
