Beef Paprika Recipe
This Beef Paprika tastes is one my favorite Central European beef stews. Try this spicy meat with a bowl of hot rice. Let me know if you like this Beef Paprika.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons salad oil
2 pounds beef for stew, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks
4 medium-sized onions, sliced
1 tablespoon paprika
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 cups hot cooked rice
Directions
1. In 5-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat, in hot salad oil, cook meat and onions, stirring frequently, until meat is lightly browned and onions are tender. Stir in paprika; cook 1 minute. Add tomato paste, water, salt, and sugar; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until meat is fork-tender.
2. When meat is done, skim fat from liquid in Dutch oven. In cup, mix milk and flour until blended. Gradually stir flour mixture into liquid in Dutch oven; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens slightly and boils.
