Ingredients

 1 1/2 pounds beef chuck cut in 2-inch cubes
 3/4 cup Burgundy or Chianti wine
 1 1/2 cans (10 1/2 ounces) condensed consomme
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Ground pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 Onion1 Large, sliced
 Dry bread crumbs6 Tablespoon
 All purpose flour6 Tablespoon

Directions

Combine beef with wine, consomme, salt, pepper, and onion in 2-quart casserole.
Mix crumbs and flour and stir into beef mixture.
Cover and bake in a 300° F.oven for about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
