Beef La Jolla Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 pounds beef chuck cut in 2-inch cubes | ||
| 3/4 cup Burgundy or Chianti wine | ||
| 1 1/2 cans (10 1/2 ounces) condensed consomme | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1 Large, sliced | |
| Dry bread crumbs | 6 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 6 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine beef with wine, consomme, salt, pepper, and onion in 2-quart casserole.
Mix crumbs and flour and stir into beef mixture.
Cover and bake in a 300° F.oven for about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
