Beef Gravy Base Recipe
This Beef Gravy Base is one of the best gravies that I've tried for my beef ! A thick creamy delicious stew is what you get on cooking this. Just dip chunks of beef in this gravy and just enjoy ! Your suggestions for this Beef Gravy Base are welcome !
Ingredients
| 1 1/3 cups nonfat dry milk powder | ||
| All purpose flour | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 tablespoons instant beef bouillon granules | ||
| Dried thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Kitchen Bouquet | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Combine dry milk powder, flour, bouillon granules, and thyme.
Cut in butter or margarine and Kitchen Bouquet till pieces resemble cornmeal.
Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator up to two months.
Makes about 3 cups (enough for 6 cups gravy).
Beef Gravy (10 minutes): In saucepan slowly blend 1 cup cold water into 1/2 cup Beef Gravy Base.
Cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Cook 1 minute more.
