Beef Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients
| 3/4 pound beef top round steak, trimmed of fat | ||
| Broccoli flowerets | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 medium carrots, bias sliced | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Dry sherry | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges | ||
Directions
Partially freeze the beef round steak.
Slice the meat thinly across the grain into bite-size strips.
Cook the broccoli flowerets and carrot slices, covered, in boiling water 2 minutes; drain.
Mix the cornstarch, sugar, and salt.
Stir into the soy sauce and sherry.
Set the soy sauce-comstarch mixture aside.
Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat; add 1 tablespoon of the oil.
Stir-fry broccoli, carrots, and onion in hot oil over high heat about 3 minutes or till crisp-tender.
Remove vegetables.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
Add the beef to wok or skillet; stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or till browned.
Stir soy mixture; stir into beef.
