Beef Brisket Texas Style Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef brisket | 1 | |
| Onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | ||
| Steak sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs), prepared | |
Directions
Trim fat covering brisket to 1/4 inch.
In small bowl, combine onion, paprika and pepper.
Rub mixture evenly over surface of brisket.
Place brisket, fat-side up, in large foil pan.
Cover pan tightly with foil.
Place pan in center of grill over low briquets.
Cover grill and cook 5 hours, turning brisket every 1 1/2 hours.
Add 1/2 cup water, as needed, to pan.
Remove foil from pan.
Remove brisket; place on grid directly over coals.
Combine pan drippings with steak sauce; reserve 1 cup mixture for Special Sauce.
Brush some of remaining mixture over brisket.
Cover grill and cook brisket 1 hour longer, brushing occasionally with sauce mixture.
Cut brisket into thin slices and serve with Special Sauce.
