Beef Barley Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef broth | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Barley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Zucchini | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| Lean ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Green onion | 1 , chopped | |
| Egg | 1 Large | |
| Seasoned bread crumbs | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon savory seasonings Meat Blend | ||
| Vegetable oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Whole wheat buns | 4 | |
| 1/2 cup alfalfa or bean sprouts | ||
| Tomato | 1 Medium, sliced | |
Directions
Cook broth and barley in small saucepan over medium heat until tender.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
Drain.
Combine remaining ingredients, except oil, buns and toppings; stir until well mixed.
Form into 4 thick patties.
Heat oil in large frying pan over medium high heat.
Add patties and fry 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
