Ingredients

 Beef broth2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lean ground beef3/4 pound
 2 medium-size sweet potatoes (about 3/4 pound), peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
 Yellow onion1 Small, peeled, finely chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), peeled
 Cayenne pepper1 Pinch
 Dried thyme1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled
 Dried marjoram1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled
 Tomato Paste2 Tablespoon

Directions

1. Bring the beef broth to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Add the beef, cover, and boil for 3 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink, stirring frequently to break up any large clumps.
2. Add the sweet potatoes, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper, thyme, marjoram, and tomato paste. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Serve with Farmer's Turnip and Pear Salad.
