Ingredients

 1 pound beef flank steak or top round steak
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Oyster sauce2 Tablespoon
 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine or dry white wine
 Soy sauce2 Teaspoon
 Cornstarch1 Teaspoon
 1 medium mango or 2 medium peaches or nectarines
 Cooking oil1 Tablespoon
 Ginger root1 Tablespoon, grated
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), minced
 4 green onions, sliced into 1-inch lengths
 Hot cooked rice

Directions

Partially freeze beef.
Thinly slice, across the grain, into bite-size pieces.
For sauce, in a small bowl stir together the water, oyster sauce, wine, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
Set aside.
Peel, halve, and seed fruit.
Cut fruit into bite-size pieces.
Set fruit aside.
Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Add cooking oil. (Add more oil as necessary during stir-frying.)
Stir-fry the gingerroot and garlic in hot cooking oil for 30 seconds.
Add half of the beef to the wok.Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or till brown.
Remove from wok.
Stir-fry remaining beef for 2 to 3 minutes.
Return all beef to wok or skillet.
Push beef from center of wok.
Stir sauce; add to center of wok.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Add fruit and green onions.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
