 Salt2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1 Teaspoon
1 cup of grated, sharp, aged
 Cheddar cheese
 Breadcrumbs1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs2 , beaten
Vegetable oil2 Cup (16 tbs) (For frying)
1 pound of elbow macaroni, cooked very al dente, drained
 Sour cream1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Sprinkle the meat cubes with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
Dredge the meat cubes with half of the grated cheese, then with the breadcrumbs.
Dip them into the beaten egg, then dredge again with the breadcrumbs.
In a fryer or deep saucepan, heat the oil to a sizzling 375 degrees.
(Use enough oil so that the meat cubes will be completely immersed in hot oil when frying.) Fry a few pieces of meat at a time, for about 1 minute each, or until golden.
Drain the meat on paper towel.
In a buttered casserole, layer the cooked macaroni, sprinkling it with the remaining salt, pepper, and cheese.
Mask the layer with the sour cream.
Arrange the steak cubes on top.
Bake, uncovered, in a 400-degree oven for 15 minutes or until the sour cream starts to bubble.
