Beef And Broccoli Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 lb (225 g) beef fillet, thinly sliced
2 tsp (10 ml) salt-reduced soy sauce
1/3 cup (85 ml) vegetable stock
1 lb (450 g) broccoli florets
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) sugar
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) chopped fresh ginger
1 tbsp (15 ml) cornstarch blended with 3 tbsp (45 ml) vegetable stock
Directions
1 Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, and let marinate 15 minutes. Heat a non-stick pan. Add beef and stir-fry 1 minute. Remove from pan and set aside.
2 Add stock to pan and bring to a boil. Add broccoli, sugar and ginger, and cook covered over high heat 3 minutes.
3 Return beef to pan. Stir in blended cornstarch and stock to thicken
