Bedspreads Recipe
Ingredients
| Bread slice | 4 | |
| Lean ham slice | 4 | |
| Eggs | 4 , separated | |
| Gruyere | 1/4 pound, grated | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
| Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon |
Directions
Trim bread and ham same size.
Mix egg yolk with grated Gruyere, salt and pepper, and spread mixture on each slice of bread.
Top with piece of ham.
Whip egg whites very stiff and make a dome of egg whites (use a soup spoon) on the ham.
Heat oil in pan.
Add bread, ham and cheese.
Heat through.
Spoon a little oil onto the whites.
Do not brown.
Serve at once.
Serves 2.
