Smooth And Thick Bechamel Sauce Recipe

First of all let me thank my neighbor for sharing this excellent bechamel sauce recipe. I tried this recipe for bechamel sauce the other day and was totally bowled over. The french couldn't have come up with a better dish than this bechamel sauce, specially when it comes to culinary creativity. This bechamel sauce as a side dish is a winner! Roll up your sleeves and try this yummy bechamel sauce recipe.

Ingredients

 
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter
 
4 tablespoons flour
 
1 cup rich chicken stock
 
1 cup light cream
 
Salt and grated nutmeg to taste

Directions

Cook the butter and flour together for 2 to 3 minutes to remove the flour's raw taste.
Stir in chicken stock and cream; stirring constantly, cook until smooth and thick.
Season with salt, nutmeg.
When serving with fish, substitute fish stock for chicken stock.
