Bean Dish Recipe
Ingredients
| Bacon strip | 5 | |
| Ground sirloin | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Green peppers | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Catsup | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 teaspoons French's mustard | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Brown sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Red kidney beans | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Chickpeas | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Baked beans | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
Directions
Fry bacon until crisp, and set aside on paper.
Use bacon grease for browning ground sirloin with onions and peppers.
In a separate bowl combine catsup, mustard, salt, pepper, vinegar and brown sugar.
Add this combination to meat mixture.
Now carefully add beans with a little juice from cans.
Put in a 4-quart casserole and bake uncovered 30-40 minutes at 350°.
When done sprinkle grated cheese and crumbled bacon all over top and return to the oven for a couple of minutes until cheese melts.
