Bean Curd Sandwiches Recipe

Bean Curd Sandwiches are simple yummy! For Tofu lovers like my kids and me this yummy pork filled tofu sandwiches is incredibly delicious! Those of you haven't yet taken to Bean Curd, should try these Bean Curd Sandwiches. They are gonna fall in love with the first bite!

Ingredients

 
1/4 lb. ground pork
 
Marinade:
 
1 teaspoon rice wine or dry sherry
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1 teaspoon cornstarch
 
2 (3-inch) squares Bean Curd
 
About 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
 
Seasoning sauce:
 
2 tablespoons soy sauce
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 cup chicken broth
 
1 teaspoon cornstarch
 
1/4 cup water
 
1/4 cup vegetable oil
 
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
 
1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
 
2 teaspoons sesame oil

Directions

Lightly chop ground pork with a cleaver.
Combine marinade ingredients in a small bowl.
Add ground pork; mix well.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Cut each bean curd cake into four 1-1/4-inch squares.
Cut each square into 3 slices.
Sprinkle each slice with flour.
Spread about 1-1/2 tablespoons pork mixture on 12 slices of bean curd.
Top with remaining bean curd slices to make 12 sandwiches.
Combine ingredients for seasoning sauce in a small bowl.
Mix well and set aside.
Sprinkle each sandwich with flour.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Fry bean curd sandwiches until lightly browned on one side.
Turn with a spatula and fry until other side is golden brown.
Add green onion and ginger root.
Carefully stir-fry 15 seconds.
Stir in seasoning sauce.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Stir in sesame oil.
