Bayshore Chocolate Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 bar (4 oz.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Pinch nutmeg | ||
| Pinch cinnamon | ||
| Pinch ground cardamom | ||
| Pecans | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Eggs | 3 , separated | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Half and Half | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
In heavy saucepan, break chocolate and melt with butter.
Into large bowl, sift flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom; add nuts.
Beat egg yolks with milk, half and half and vanilla.
Mix liquid with dry ingredients, beating until smooth.
Beat egg whites with salt until soft mounds form.
Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
Fold egg whites into batter.
Preheat greased waffle iron.
Bake waffles according to manufacturer's directions.
Serve with warm Chocolate Maple Syrup.
