Batter Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| Broiler fryer | 3 , cut into serving pieces | |
| Water | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salad oil | 1 Quart | |
| Batter | 2 Cup (32 tbs) |
Directions
Place chicken pieces in baking pan; add water and sprinkle with salt.
Cover with foil; bake in moderate oven (375°) 45 minutes.
Remove chicken pieces from liquid; dry well.
If desired, remove skin.
Heat salad oil to 350° in a heavy 3 quart saucepan.
Dip chicken pieces in Batter; drain off excess.
Fry, 2 or 3 pieces at a time, until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
