Batter Fried Bass Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lbs. filleted bass or perch | ||
| Garlic salt | 1 To taste | |
| L egg | ||
| Milk | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tabasco | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Vegetable oil | ||
Directions
Rinse fish and pat dry with paper towel.
Season with garlic salt.
In bowl, beat egg, then stir in milk and tabasco.
Mix together flour, salt and mustard.
Stir in egg-milk mixture and beat smooth.
Heat oil (2" dsep) in frying pan on medium high heat.
Coat fish with batter and fry 3 to 5 minutes (or until fish is white throughout).
