Batter Recipe

This Batter makes an excellent coating for your fish, prawn or meat cutlets. I really enjoy the crispy brown coating. The crunchy feel is so addictive. Eat the cutlets as a snack or as an accompaniment with rice and let me know if you agree with me ! your suggestions for this batter are welcome !

Ingredients

 
2 tablespoons white flour
 
1 tablespoon ghee
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
6 tablespoons water

Directions

Sift the flour and salt.
Make a hole in the centre and pour in the ghee.
Add the water gradually, stirring all the time, till it becomes a thick paste.
Use for coating prawns, fish and cutlets, before frying.
This batter should be sufficient for 375 gms. of meat, fish or vegetable.
