Soft Bath Buns Recipe
Eating just one is not possible for any one is my claim for this recipe of Bath Buns. It is an European delicacy, served as Snack world-wide. Stop ruminating and make this Bath Buns right now!
Ingredients
8 oz. flour
3 oz. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 oz. sultanas
3 oz. lard
1 1/2 oz. chopped peel
1/2 oz. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
Little egg for brushing
1 egg
Coarse sugar
1/4 pt. milk
Directions
Sift the flour, 1 tsp. sugar, and salt into a basin and rub in the lard.
Crumble the yeast into the liquid and add to the flour with the beaten egg.
Beat well, cover, and leave to rise until double the bulk.
Beat in the rest of the sugar and the fruit.
Put on a greased tray in small heaps.
Leave to rise until double the size.
Brush with egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Bake until they are brown and springy in the centre.
