Recipe Story

This reminds me of the summer vacations I spent at Bombay as a kid. It is still in my heart and my family gets to eat a lot of it.

Ingredients

 
2 bolied peeled mashed potatoes.
 
1 medium onion
 
garlic
 
ginger 1"
 
Besan ( chick pead flour)
 
turmeric powder
 
chilli powder
 
coriander powder
 
coriander leaves chopped
 
lemoin juice.

Directions

Add all the spices saving a little to the potatoes. Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger and lemon juice. Mix well. Add salt and coriander leaves. Mix and make small balls.
Make a batter with besan. Dip the balls and deep fry to a golden.

Whenever i make batata wado the potato mixture starts coming out of when i am frying.  I never seem to get the besan crunchy its always soft.    Could you please tell me what i am doing wrong?
