batata vada Recipe
This Batata vada recipe is your guide to to making the classic and most popular snack of Mumbai(India). Street side vendors sell them at all times of the days and is the basic ingredient for the vada pav. Now you can make it in your very kitchen wherever you are.
Ingredients
| Bolied peeled mashed potatoes. | 2 | |
| Onion | 1 Medium | |
| Garlic | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch | |
| Besan | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (chick pead flour) | |
| Turmeric powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chilli powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Coriander powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Coriander leaves chopped | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon |
Directions
Add all the spices saving a little to the potatoes. Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger and lemon juice. Mix well. Add salt and coriander leaves. Mix and make small balls.
Make a batter with besan. Dip the balls and deep fry to a golden.

Whenever i make batata wado the potato mixture starts coming out of when i am frying.
I never seem to get the besan crunchy its always soft.
Could you please tell me what i am doing wrong?
