Basmati Rice Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients

 
6-oz pkg (180 g) Basmati Rice
 
2 cups (480 ml) water
 
1/3 cup (80 ml) light or dark raisins
 
1/3 cup (80 ml) sliced green onion
 
1 tsp (5 ml) grated Fresh Ginger
 
1/4 tsp (1 ml) ground cinnamon pinch ground cloves or cardamom
 
1/2 cup (120 ml) Pignolias or slivered almonds

Directions

In a 2-quart saucepan, combine rice, water, raisins, onion, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer, cover, for 20-30 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Stir in pignolias.
