Basic Tomato Catsup Recipe
Catsup is the most commonly used item from the pantry. We often buy it from market. Try making it at home and enjoy the homemade taste and pleasure.
Ingredients
Ripe tomatoes-20 pounds
Onions-6 medium
Sweet red peppers-4 medium
Vinegar-2 cups
Sugar-1 1/2 cups
Salt-2 tablespoons
Paprika-1/4 cup
Celery seed-2 teaspoons
Whole allspice-1 teaspoon
Whole cloves-1 teaspoon
Cinnamon-3 ounces stick
Directions
GETTING READY
1)Peel tomatoes and chop.
2)Peel and chop onions.
3)Chop red peppers.
MAKING
4)In a large kettle, put tomatoes, onions and red peppers.
5)Bring to boil stirring constantly.
6)Decrease heat and let it simmer until vegetables cooked.
7)Mash the vegetables through a sieve and put it into kettle.
8)Add remaining ingredients and spices, except vinegar and simmer for an hour.
9)Add vinegar and simmer until thickened. Stir frequently.
10)Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

11)Use the tomato catsup and when needed.
