Basic Stuffing Recipe
There hasn't been an occasion when this Basic Stuffing recipe didn't receive rave reviews. You don't have to be an expert to judge how delicious and flavorful this dish is.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped celery
3/4 cup chicken broth
6 to 8 cups white bread or cornbread, crumbled or cubed
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning (or 1/4 teaspoon each basil, rosemary and sage)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Place butter, onion and celery in a 3 qt.glass casserole dish.
Cover and microwave 3 to 4 minutes or until tender.
Add broth.
Cover and microwave 3 to 5 minutes or until broth comes to a boil.
Add bread and seasonings.
Toss to coat evenly.
Stuff poultry or cover stuffing and microwave 6 to 8 minutes.
