Vinegar or lemon juice - 1/3 cup
 
Salad or olive oil - 2/3 cup
 
Salt – 1 ½ teaspoons
 
Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
 
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
 
Garlic - 1 clove

Directions

MAKING
1. In a jar with tight-fitting lid, combine all ingredients and shake vigorously to blend.
2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before using.

FINALISING
3. Remove garlic and shake just before using.

SERVING
4. Serve with salads as dressing.

TIPS
You may use white, cider, wine, or herb-flavored vinegar.
