Basic Fresh Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Celery - 1 stalk, finely chopped | ||
| Carrot | 1 , finely chopped | |
| Dry white wine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Plum Tomatoes with juice - 1 can of 28 ounce | ||
| Any Dried Pasta - 1 pound | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Cook the pasta al dente as per its packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
2) In a saucepan, heat oil and saute onions, garlic, celery and carrots on medium-high flame till soft.
3) Add in wine and cook for 4 minutes. Next, add in tomatoes, mashing them a little while stirring. Turn down the heat to medium and cook for about 30 minutes.
SERVING
4) In a large serving bowl, toss the pasta with the sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.
