Basic Mayonnaise Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg | 1 | |
| 1 teaspoon castor sugar | ||
| Pinch of mustard powder | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 300ml/ 1/2 pint oil | ||
| Wine vinegar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Place the egg, sugar, mustard and seasoning in the bowl and mix for a few seconds using the double-bladed chopping knife.
With the motor switched on, pour the oil through the feed tube in a slow trickle.
The mayonnaise will thicken slowly.
Mix in the vinegar at the end.
