Instant Basic Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon instant beef or chicken bouillon granules
3/4 cup hot water or 3/4 cup meat or poultry drippings plus hot water
Salt to taste
Directions
1. Combine flour and water in a 2-cup glass measuring cup to make a smooth mixture.
2. Dissolve beef granules in hot water. Add gradually to flour-water mixture, stirring until smooth. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 2 1/2 minutes at High, or until thickened; stir every 30 seconds for the first minute.
3. Remove from oven; stir in salt.
