 Golden Delicious apples - 6 to 7, peeled, cored & thinly sliced
 Sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Flour2 Tablespoon
 Cinnamon1/2 Teaspoon
 Ginger1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Mace1/8 Teaspoon
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Butter/Margarine2 Tablespoon
 Milk cream2 Tablespoon
 Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 425° F.

MAKING
2) Take a mixing bowl and combine together flour, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, mace and salt.
3) Add vanilla and apples.
4) Place the mixture in a pastry-lined 9 inch pie plate.
5) Adjust the top crust and place a dot of butter or margarine. Seal and trim the edges.
6) Brush the top crust with cream or milk.
7) Bake for 50-60 minutes or until apples turn tender.

SERVING
8) Serve warm with whipped cream and ice cream, if desired.

TIP: Cover the edges of pie with an aluminum foil, half-way through baking, to prevent over-browning.
